Weaving of the Memories (2025)

Weaving of the Memories is a sensory map that brings together fragmented memories accumulated within a particular place through the repetitive act of weaving. We experience a place not only visually, but through layers of touch, smell, light, and movement, which intertwine to form a sense of space.

The needles embedded in the map act as emotional coordinates—stitching, fixing, and recalling memories—while paper, thread, and fabric become traces of sensory experiences collected from the site. The act of stitching connects and reorganises these scattered fragments, gradually constructing a sensory map.

This work focuses on Inhyeon-dong Printing Alley, a place that still carries traces of the past while slowly disappearing. By collecting and weaving together what remains and what is fading away, the work attempts to capture the temporality of disappearance within the changing city.
