Imprinted Time (2025)

Imprinted Time explores the desire to preserve time by transforming traces of memory into physical matter. Residues from my father’s factory floor are cast in latex and fixed onto a steel structure, forming a personal archive of labour, family history, and childhood memory.

The latex captures a specific moment as a slice of time, while fragments from the factory carry traces of a place once lived and experienced. Once embedded in the material, these memories become separated from their original moment and solidified into a new physical presence. Rather than storing the past, Imprinted Time reveals time as something that continues to exist through its material traces.
